I am only doing this because it was Kathryn who tagged me.

3 Joys

1. My family
2. The Church (this should be first but in all honesty I think of my family as m first joy-I know, it is something I should work on)
3. Reading a GOOD book

3 Fears

1. Dying (again, this shouldn't be a fear because we know the plan of salvation but I just want to live on earth until I am 90...and I don't want my family to die prematurely either.)
2. Snakes
3. Going down things-I can climb up things without a problem but going down is another story!)

3 Current Goals

1. Read my scriptures first thing in the morning for an extended period of time.
2. Keep my bathrooms cleaner
3. Find cheap tickets home (out of Memphis, of course :)

3 Current Obsessions

***A month ago I would have said the Twilight Series but not after Breaking Dawn came out. I am even a little ashamed of my previous obsession over the series.***
1. Beating Ben's score on the Wii Fit Hula hoop game
2. Homeschooling
3. Running

3 Random Facts about Me

1. I have always wanted to sing the National Anthem at an event and used to practice in the shower (I know realize how bad I am at singing and have given up that dream)
2. I once pretended to be Elizabeth Bennett at a getting-to-know you in college
3. I have a picture of my little brother, Sam, hanging by the door in my bedroom. It has been hung by the door of everywhere I have lived.

Who do I tag?? Well, I will not be offended if you do not do the tag because I understand if you don't want to do it. I will tag five people anyway-Erica, Jana, Kaylee, Peggy, and Glenda.

Go Picnic, It's a Bing Thing

Here is a picture of the dumbest book we own...thank you Joe and Candy. This book is really stupid but the girls LOVE it. They love it so much that we have created a song about it. The two main characters are Bing and Flop who want to go on a picnic. Anyway, our song is:

(To the tune of the mysterious ticking noise)
Bing, Bing,
Bada bada Bing,
Go picnic,
It's a Bing thing.

Bing, Bing (FLOP!)
Bada bada Bing (FLOP!)
Go Picnic (FLOP!)
It's a Bing thing (FLOP!)

I still have to come up with more things to add into the song. It's a work in progress. One day I will take a video of the girls singing it and put it on.

Hungry Girl

I bought this book with some of my birthday money just to see what it was about. It is a cook book full of recipes that are very low in fat and calories. I was first attracted to the title. Anyone who knows me knows that I am a "hungry girl." I LOVE food. I love to eat and I eat a lot (which is why I am always 15 pounds heavier than what I want to be.) But I have accepted my food obsession and I know that I have NO self-control when it comes to food. However, after reading through this book I feel that there might be hope. There are a lot of recipes that take something fatty and make it low fat. Last night I made the onion rings from this book and loved them! I didn't get the recipe quite right (they didn't look nearly as appetizing) but they were good and I was completely satisfied. I had a whole helping of onion rings for only 153 calories! How cool is that? So, hopefully I will be able to work off some more pounds and still eat the food I like. The author of the book also has a web site that I am going to start looking at.

The Animal Planet Expo

We went to the Animal Planet Expo this weekend. We got there late so there wasn't much time left for games but the girls still had fun. The first stop we made was to visit the kitties and pet them. I think this is the cutest picture. I had to wait behind the table with Daisy and the stroller so I told Heidi to take Kaylee up to see the cats. They were so patient waiting behind all the big kids. Heidi is a very responsible big sister.

I know I shouldn't get so annoyed at the big kids but I was! The girls waited forever to pet the cats and it was a bunch of big kids in the way. I wanted to say something to them but I held my tongue. I think I was just getting upset because it was my maternal instincts kicking in.
We spent the rest of the time watching dog shows and playing with these blocks. Once again, I wanted to step in and tell the big kids to let my girls play but I didn't.

Kaylee played dress up but instead of being a princess she wanted to be grandma. I guess she thinks her grandma wears rain boots and scarves all day!

Monday Night

Daisy usually wakes up and spends a few minutes smiling and cooing at me. So I think to myself, "grab the camera!!" Without fail as soon as the camera is rolling she quits. One of these days I need to get the camera set up before hand and then get Daisy smiling.

Smoking

We have taught Heidi that we don't smoke because it is bad for your body and can turn your lungs black. While watching Jurassic Park she saw Samuel L. Jackson smoking. She turned to me and said "We don't smoke because it turns your body black." She doesn't quite get it and with living in Memphis she must think we are surrounded by smokers!

Kaylee is pregnant

I just thought this was cute. The girls are always pretending to be pregnant now.She looks about ready to burst!I like this picture of Daisy. Sometimes I think my kids look like ET. They have big eyes, big foreheads, and, when they open their eyes wide, their foreheads gets all wrinkly like ET. You can't see the wrinkles too much here but it is so cute.
PS-Wouldn't it be funny if my sister Kaylee was really pregnant and this was the announcement of it but nobody figured that out because they just thought it was about Baby Kaylee??

Just videos

I tried to get Daisy talking some more. Heidi was in charge of the camera so the cinematography is lacking in quality but I don't think my Mom or Peggy will care and they are who I do this for.

Cupcakes

I made cupcakes for a ward activity. I used a cake recipe that I got from Heidi Slade but I made cupcakes instead. I didn't try one but Ben ate himself sick. He ate three and wanted more!
The best part is that I made the chocolate mousse and put it inside the cupcake so there would be a little surprise. Yum. I will have to make myself these when I am eating desserts again!
This is a sad day because I put Daisy in a 3-6 month outfit and it fit!! She is only 8 weeks old and she fits into the next size up. I guess she is going to be bigger like Heidi was.

Our Saturday

I try to explain to my mom that we don't do anything worthwhile during the day so I don't have any thing to put on my blog. But, for her sake, I took some pictures today. Our day started great because I got up and ran 6 miles this morning!!! Yes!! Six miles, straight with no stopping. I know that isn't as cool as Mallory who did a whole half marathon but that is what I am working towards-a half marathon. My friend, Jana, asked is I wanted to do one back when I was still pregnant. The thought made me want to pee my pants in fear. However, I am going to do it and I am starting my training for it. I am hoping that I will do the half marathon in December and then start training to do a triathlon relay with my brother in May. I will be running the 3k, but he wants to win it-not just compete. He has already told me that my 9min mile will not be good enough. We went to the mall. We are one of those families that go, look, touch things, and then leave without buying anything. I feel bad about not buying things but, oh well. The girls got onto this bike for fun.
Here is where Heidi pulled the handles off and I had to fix it.
Kaylee is just cute. She has the best smile.
Daisy missed out on the carousel. She lost interest in the mall.
Ben took the girls on the carousel.
I tried to get a video of Daisy talking to me. She started to get crabby there at the end.

Busy Weekend

We have been pretty busy this weekend. We had a pool party, baby shower, birthday party, a trip to the park, a new church calling, a funny smell I had to find and the Olympics to watch (wasn't that 400m freestyle relay just awesome!) So please excuse me for not changing my blog lately. There should be plenty to look at today.
I took this picture this morning. Kaylee comes into our room at night and sleeps on the floor when she is scared. I think she does it now out of habit and we need to break her. The only problem is that I don't even know she is there until morning!! This morning I got out of bed on Ben's side and didn't see Kaylee there until I went to change Daisy's diaper. I would make her go back to bed at night if I knew she was even in there!
While we were getting ready to go this morning Heidi had fun with my camera. She and Daisy had a little photo shoot. At least it kept Daisy entertained until she fell asleep.

I love that look!
And then she just fell asleep. I have a new calling-Activities Chairperson. I am excited but a little worried. The last lady did a TON of stuff for activities. I am excited to serve in a brand new place. I have never done anything with activities. I just wonder when I will be released from Enrichment leader, too. Both callings are pretty involved. The best part is that I get to go to ward council!! I don't know why people complain about going to meetings-I love it. I know what is going on and I get to work/know more people. I have never even talked to the bishop of our ward (he's the quiet type) but now I will be able to work with him and the rest of the bishopric.

This is for Sambo

My brother Sam has a problem with the nudity on my blog. But I think naked babies are soooo cute! Look at Daisy's little boobies! I love it!
My girls can't resist getting their picture taken even though I only wanted to get Daisy in the picture.
Ohhhh. I just love their cute little bodies. Especially when they get a little chunky. I was thinking that Daisy was getting chunky until we hung out with the Rudds. After seeing Brooklyn I think we have a while before we can call her 'chunky' but I hope we can put some more rolls on her. Ben always says that Hancocks know all about having rolls! (Yes, he is calling my family fat.)
Anybody who had seen Heidi's first day of swimming would realize that this is a pretty big step for her. We didn't even have to talk her into it. She just wanted to do it herself. Pretty cool!
